A moment of public sharing from the training led by Gabriella Maiorino with the students of Da.Re. The rehearsal space opens to the public for an hour, offering a glimpse into the work-in-progress.
The class presents itself as a temporary nursery for somatic researchers. The nursery is made up of two adjoining and interconnected rooms. In the room dedicated to grammar, the progression unfolds through a sequence of exercises inspired by the Alexander and Klein Techniques. Starting from a gentle excavation, the exercises explore connections, spontaneous agreements, formidable polyphonies, and subtle conversations that link the systems of the body. In the room devoted to somatic writing, the exercises release prescriptions and faint dictations that aim to clarify the researchers’ intuitions. The invitation is to forge a specialized lexicon shaped by instinct and inventiveness.
