The Playgirls from Caracas project first saw the light of day in Lecce in 2007. Adopting what is in effect an "educational" approach, the Playgirls seek out predominantly feminine pieces in the musical panorama – a kind of queer archaeology digging without let or hindrance in different genres and periods, adding trash, pop, singer-songwriter pieces, electroclash, punk, rrriot, synth pop and a whole lot more to their selections in an effervescent fry-up that transforms timid situations into dance evenings with their maracas, güiro and range of percussion instruments.
Creators of such evenings as Best Female Selection (Lecce 2007), Happy Scascio Hour (Lecce 2008–11), Bonobo Party and Wild Hive (Rome 2013), they take their musical selections on tour throughout Italy.
They have shared the turntable on more than one occasion with Silvia Calderoni, during the Octopussy Party (Angelo Mai, Rome) and the After Party for Gucci Cruise 2020 (Rome 2019), taking part on the latter occasion in the photo shoot for the "Gucci Manifesto" campaign.
