Touching Places is a workshop of creative dramaturgy that sets out to support the ability to access, analyse and create information through a variety of ways (verbal, narrative, visual, emotional…) taking its cue from the premise that the cultural, social and cognitive landscape is a complex network of information.
The writing atelier is a tool for personal expression that seeks to get to the individual, unique and unrepeatable heart of those taking part in the workshop but also a place for the shared planning of present desires and future intentions, of what we can put in the world. The purpose of the endeavour is to be a collective, community composition, the draughting of a “collective biography” as an opportunity for cultural, individual and common care.
The ultimate aim is to create a shared imagination, promoting an interpretation of reality in multiple forms and to create content capable of alerting and inspiring new relational practices among individuals; a chance to access the essence of the places we live in and cross through in our daily lives.
ANCoS Roma e Provincia Aps, Associazione Nazionale Comunità Sociali e Sportive, is a non-profit organisation set up in 2002 to promote civic commitment and solidarity in the social, cultural, welfare and sports sectors through activities and projects designed to respond effectively to people’s needs and demands. ANCoS Roma e Provincia works on the ground in collaboration with different professional figures. Many activities focus on cultural heritage and the performance arts as elements devised for the wellbeing of people and of society.

Programme:
Tuesday 16 July 2025:
- 30 am - 11.30 am: Presentation of the workshop and ice-breaking activity
- 30 am -1.00 pm: The weight of words: introducing the theme of accessibility and starting to build the narrative pathway
- 00 pm – 6.00 pm: Walk in the spaces of the Mattatoio di Testaccio and, for each ‘station’, a writing exercise. Writing and draughting of individual texts
Wednesday 17 July 2025:
- 00 am - 1.00 pm: transposition of the text into exhibition form
- 00 pm - 4.00 pm: transposition of the text into exhibition form
- 00 pm - 7.30 pm: collective performance action
