TEX. 70 ANNI DI UN MITO

May 24 - July 14, 2019

It was September 30, 1948 when the first issue of a Tex strip debuts on Italian newsstands, the character created by Gianluigi Bonelli and made graphically by Aurelio Galleppini has become the most beloved hero of Italian comics and one of the longest in the global comic.
Seventy years later, Sergio Bonelli Editore with COMICON and ARF! Festivals, celebrate the ranger by bringing to Rome the great exhibition entitled TEX. 70 YEARS OF A MYTH open from May 24th to July 14th 2019 at the MATTATOIO.

Edited by Gianni Bono, historian and scholar of Italian comics, in collaboration with the editors of Sergio Bonelli Editore, COMICON and ARF! Festival, the exhibition will tell - even through the historical pages of the RCS themes - how Tex succeeded, from 1948 until today, in an entrance to a distant part of the reading habits of the Italians, conquering different ones, thanks to his deep sense of justice and to the his innate generosity, becoming a true phenomenon of custom.
